Slumgullion Stew
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 med. onion, chopped
- 1/3 c. chopped green peppers
- 3 med. carrots, shredded
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 cup peas
- 1 can red beans
- 3 tsp. chili powder
- 3 cups whole tomatoe puree
- 12 Oz. beef stock
- 3 cups wide noodles, or diced potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Brown hamburger and onion in large skillet. Add carrots, pepper, and potatoes (if you choose
that option). Blend in garlic, tomatoes, and dry seasonings. Mix in peas and beans; add water or
consomme.
